Hassan from Waverley School talked to us while he was peddling on a bike to try and get a kettle to boil. It was part of the session on future schools and the environment, which included suggestions like partnering with a neighbouring allotment, saving rainwater from school roof, growing hens and ducks to provide eggs for school meals.

That’s the question Birmingham’s Youth Panel has set itself to examine at a conference of school pupils at Think Tank on Friday 27th June 2008.
100 or so people from the schools you see listed at the side of this blog post will start to think through how education might be reshaped for the children who follow them:

The Environmentally Friendly School: How will that work?
Future Learning: What will we learn and how will it be taught?
School Dinners: What part will food play in school life?
School Uniform: If yes what will it be like - if not why not?
School Building Design: How should schools look, where will they be
built?
